Fast-track Pathway For GPsyC Registration
Practitioners with the General Psychotherapy Council (GPsyC) are required to have had extensive training (including 100 hours of personal therapy/analysis), through which they have gained a thorough knowledge of appropriate psychotherapeutic practices. In order to become a registered GPsyC practitioner, the General Psychotherapy Council requires information about applicants that demonstrates their suitability for registration.
The Fast-track Pathway route is suitable for practitioners who are currently registered with a membership body that is affiliated with psychotherapeutic practice. As is detailed in the application packs, fast-track applicants will submit a signed 'statement of fact', a 'supervisor's endorsement', and a 'signed declaration'. Applicants will be contacted to supply additional documentation/evidence should it be needed.
Once an application has been approved, the practitioner will be informed and sent instructions for payment of the annual registration fee (£115). Information will also be requested for specific details to be inserted onto the public register and the practitioner's GPsyC membership card. On receipt of the registration fees, the practitioner will be sent their General Psychotherapy Council's registration certificate and membership card.
All application packs are sent via post; please provide a correspondence address using the form below.
