The conferring and use of post-nominals is a key feature of being a registered practitioner of the General Psychotherapy Council (GPsyC), and we encourage our practitioners to use the post-nominals 'GPsyC' wherever possible.

 

The use of the post-nominals 'GPsyC' demonstrates to colleagues, employers, and the public, that psychotherapists registered with the General Psychotherapy Council have advanced knowledge and training, and are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of psychotherapeutic practice. It also signifies that GPsyC practitioners are proud to belong to a community of psychotherapy professionals in which its members are committed to observing a set of principles to which they can be held accountable to.
